Spencer Kohler, Co-Founder

Spencer has traded commodities for more than two decades.  He began his career in 1998 with Kansas City-based DeBruce Grain purchasing wheat and grain from local producers at their Abilene, KS shuttle train facility.  Spencer took a position a year later managing a grain trading territory with Cargill, Inc.  Over the next 9 years he held various positions in the agricultural commodity space with Cargill and Lansing Trade Group - trading a wide array of products and services including, corn, wheat, soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil, feed ingredients, truck freight and rail freight.  During this period he developed and strengthened the key trading skills of premium trading, hedging/risk management, facility management and logistics management.  He took the opportunity to apply those skills to a new industry by co-founding a bullion trading desk with Chad Caldwell in 2008.

In his spare time, Spencer plays video games (still?) and the bass guitar. Seeing Metallica in concert with his two sons (who also know all the songs) was the greatest night of his life.

Chad Caldwell, Co-Founder

Chad has more than 20 years of experience in the rare coin and bullion trade. He began in the wholesale bullion and numismatic business in 2001 and, along with his supervisor, moved to Fort Worth two years later to and open their own retail coin shop. Chad directly managed and grew both the retail and wholesale sides of the business - establishing his name and impeccable reputation in the industry. In 2007 Chad began heading client relations for a scrap refining company and co-founded a bullion trading desk with Spencer Kohler a year later.
